FutureLive History
FutureLive was created by Christopher J Wray in 2002 when he discovered that music could be performed live on the internet. Whilst the tools to make this ambition already existed, the internet technology itself was starting to introduce broadband speeds which meant many countries around the world were still using dial-up internet, including the United Kingdom. This initially was a problem due to slow upload times and the music quality wasn't great.
Regardless of all the technical issues, CJ Wray performed his first internet concert on 21st December 2002, with the slogan "it's the future and it's live!"
FutureLive was also designed with the local and long-distance community in mind. In 2002, CJ promoted the broadband technology to various consumers and local businesses. CJ has always and still is a mad-keen supporter in independent artists, networks, stations & labels.
