We're not exactly poets, but we once thought we knew about mature issues that were truly ahead of our age as preteens. Sex to us was once a combined mixture of Backstreet Boys tracks and anything we could watch on cable television...

The following article proves the notion that we were ahead of our time, in an unsavoury manner, by writing about a subject that was clearly not grasped at such an early age. Or could it be a youth's protest about how aesthetic "making love" had become? We probably won't have the answer to that.

Here's what "talking mature" looked like in our early years. Watch for the unjustified use of song titles from that era (in italics):

Love: Is it just sex?
July 12, 2002

What's love? It's all about sex. WRONG!

Some guys are such perverts. A girl walks by and they just open their eyes real wide and say: "Whoa, it's gettin' hot in here! Boys... a new day has come. A lot of people get hooked up each day. They flirt and bam! You have yourself a partner! It's what we're all about. Let me ask you, but what happens when a girl gets drunk and says "I'm feelin' hella good, so let's get this party started'".

Well you know what it all adds up to... when relationships had come way beyond, things can get complicated. Everything is all about money and that is why we have hookers in this so-called toxicity. Some men are pretty stupid sometimes ("Black suits coming nod your head if you agree") I'm just glad that I'm alive. But in the end, I know what all men have in mind (Women are bootylicious).

A poll that we held back in 2002 asked an unusually serious question: "Based on the article, should women be loved just for sex?" - 62% answered "No", while 25% said "Yes". What was really more worrisome was that 12% asked "Why should I treat a human like this?" which was a standard third option that didn't make sense at all.

It seems that the concept of sex has changed. But even now it doesn't look like we have a healthy view on the subject as a society.
