Three Steps in Three Years Plan (2003-2006)

Three years ago, we set ourselves an ambitious plan that would
bring profit in the future. That future is now. And
interestingly, we have ran in the green so far this year. The many
generous partners that form SRN Mediaworks Holdings suggested Three
Steps in Three Years as a way to improve the quality of our
organisation at large. So what did we accomplish?

Three big principles were written down at that time: Experience,
Integrity and Honour. In these three years, we have picked up
experience as broadcasters, become more transparent on our
operations, and earned the respect of a good few people.

Reaping the Benefits

By switching to an predominant indie format, SRN One has
earned merit as an alternative broadcaster. By expanding our
presence on the internet, and following our main princple of
creating imagination, we have finally earned a tiny, but
good, profit.

We will be spending as much money as we can on buying new
equipment, including creating a new Mobile Production Unit
that can be set up and torn down quickly. Also, we plan on years
ahead, saving up for new trips overseas as well as
equipment that will keep our staff occupied when they are not
on air.

During our tenth year, we paid each of our three Executive Board
executives a one time "Ten Years Payment" to thank them for
sticking with us for over a decade. Since this wage is purely
ceremonial and is a gift from our organisation, we will pay one
dollar for each year we were in existance. Yes folks, ten Canadian
dollars. But again, it is a ceremonial payment.

As is all our plans, we are going to approach this in a pragmatic manner.
