Introduction

 

It has been many years since the formation of SRN Mediaworks, the internet media organisation that has brought to you community internet radio through SRN One and other interesting information from our unique portal, 148.ca.

 

No one gets paid in this organisation, and interestingly enough, none of our staff is busy being irritated on this monetary matter. Why? All of us are here to create imagination, not dollar bills. But in order to fund these ridiculously selfless principles, we put out a plan where any money we earn from adverts and other services would be reinvested back to the station.

 

Profit Reinvestment?

 

As a community organisation, SRN Mediaworks is focused on creating the best experience possible to you, the listener. And since we are not financially compensated individually in our contributions, we decided that the money we earn should be used to expand our horizons, buy new equipment, and fund new ventures.

 

You will find in these pages more information on the matter. Our plans to expand are very simple: acquire new equipment, new programming, and try to give our staff at least some wages to thank them for their work. But we're not running a literal business here.
